Done-In-A-Day is a series of concentrated projects that provide volunteers and dollars to local non profits for community-based projects or events on a short-term basis. Done-In-A-Day volunteers can help with events such as picnics, food bank distribution, holiday parties, community beautification projects. Applications for Done-In-A-Day are encouraged to be submitted by September 1.
Community Outreach Endowment
In 1989 the Junior League of Wichita established an endowment fund, the JLW Community Outreach Endowment Fund, with the purpose of addressing urgent, non-volunteer needs of area nonprofits in an efficient manner. Grants range from $100 to $8,000. Applications may come at any time during the year and will be acted upon dependent upon funds available.
Long Term Signature Projects
A Signature Project is an opportunity that Junior League of Wichita partners with a non profit, identifies a need in our community, develops, and funds the project to completion. Often these projects are so significant that our vision, commitment, and support converge to create a project that takes on a life of its own. Applications are accepted year round.
