Community Focus

2009-2010 Projects

Critter Campus
The women of Junior League of Wichita will play an integral role in the physical development of a classroom within the new Murfin Animal Care Campus and assist with the establishment and implementation of the curriculum for the Teaching Love and Compassion (TLC) and Read to Rover programs. TLC encompasses all ages, including elderly members of our community and seeks to pair the elderly or individuals with special needs with an animal at the shelter.

Nature Explorers
The women of Junior League of Wichita will work with Rainbows United, Inc. to establish an outdoor learning center with a curriculum devoted to the environment and nature, in an effort to increase the participation of young children in outdoor activities and discover science in the natural world.

Our Mission

Junior League of Wichita, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Junior League of Wichita, Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism.
